Angiopteris lygodiifolia is a species of fern in the family Marattiaceae. It is a huge fern found in Taiwan and Japan.

Description

Angiopteris lygodiifolia has fronds are about 2 m long. The stems of the fronds are green, cylindrical, and lack a deep groove, being smooth and streaked. The fronds are bipinnate with the leaflets being 35 to 70 cm long, and subleaflets being 5 to 15 cm long, 1 to 1.2 cm wide, and with teeth along the edges. Veins are once pinnate, and false veins also exist, extending about halfway through the subleaflets. Sori on the underside of the margin are about 1.5 mm wide, about 1 mm from the edge of the subleaflets (Wu et al. 2013).

Distribution

Angiopteris lygodiifolia is found in ravines and alongside streams in Taiwan and Japan (Wu et al. 2013).
